It is said that about 40 per cent of the human population in Rajasthan lives in Thar Desert. It extends from Sutlej river and is enclosed by the Great Rann of Kutch, the Aravalli Mountains and the Indus River<\/li>\n<li>Thar Desert is believed to be the most civilized desert in the world. About 85 per cent of Thar Desert is in India and the rest is in Pakistan.
