Day 1 : Cochin – Thettakad<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n
\n

You\u2019ll be met on arrival at Cochin<\/a> airport and make the short drive- 30km or so- to Thettakad. If you\u2019ve arrived in the morning then there will be time today for kayaking on the Periyar River. Overnight at Hornbill Camp Thettakad<\/p>\n

Day 2 : Thettakad – Cochin<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n
\n

If you\u2019re happy to start your day at first light, then a visit to Thettakad<\/a> bird sanctuary where around 270 species of migratory and resident birds can be found is a must. After breakfast, head off on a day\u2019s cycling through the country side with your guide. Later drive into Fort Cochin. Overnight in Fort Cochin.<\/p>\n

Day 3 : Cochin – Alleppey<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n
\n

Morning in historic Fort Cochin with a short sightseeing tour, then after lunch drive 2 hours or so to Alleppey<\/a>, where you\u2019ll stay on the fringes of the backwaters. Remainder of the day at leisure for a backwater tour by canoe or perhaps an invigorating Ayurvedic massage. Overnight near Alleppey<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Day 4 : Alleppey<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n

A relaxing morning around your homestay\/resort, before your houseboat reports soon after midday. Spend the afternoon cruising the scenic backwaters with lunch and dinner cooked on board by your crew. Overnight on the houseboat.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Day 5 : Alleppey – Cochin<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n
