The opportunity to ride<\/strong> an elephant<\/strong> up the hill to the main entrance is one of the attractions of a trip to the magnificent Amer Fort. Visitors are transported to the fort on these magnificent beasts, which are adorned with historic painted designs. The elephant ride at Amer Fort<\/strong><\/a> is a terrific experience, but travellers must get there early to ensure a ride and should anticipate dealing with touts and bargaining.<\/p>\n

There are about 80 elephants, and they can carry up to 900 tourists each day. To avoid overworking the elephants and potential animal cruelty, there is a cap on the total number of journeys each elephant can complete in a day. To guarantee a ride and avoid the lines, it is advised to visit the Amer Fort early in the day (before 9:00 am). Most elephants have concluded their rides during the tourist season by 11:00 am.<\/p>\n

The treatment and living conditions of elephants have significantly improved in recent years. The elephants used to work all day, transporting four people and a driver. Currently, an elephant can only make five trips and can only carry two people.<\/p>\n

The Jaipur<\/a> <\/strong>government conducts regular inspections and makes sure the animals are in good health. The situation is still not ideal because elephant herders can be violent and have been known to strike the animals. In addition, the scorching summer months are terrible for the creatures.
