Jaisamand Lake, also known as Dhebar Lake, is a beautiful artificial lake located near Udaipur<\/a> in Rajasthan, India. It is the second-largest artificial lake in Asia, with a length of 14 kilometers, a width of 9 kilometers, and a maximum depth of 102 feet.<\/p>\n

The lake was built in the 17th century by Maharaja Jai Singh of Udaipur to fulfill the water needs of the surrounding villages and to provide a source of water for irrigation. The lake is surrounded by hills and forests, which add to its natural beauty and make it a popular tourist destination.<\/p>\n

The lake has seven islands, including the famous Mohan Mandir, a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, which can be accessed by boat. The lake is also home to a variety of aquatic life, including fish, crocodiles, and migratory birds, making it a popular spot for birdwatching<\/a> and fishing.<\/p>\n
