One of the top things to do in Jaipur is to visit the Jaipur Wax Museum at Nahargarh Fort. This museum, which Bollywood actor Govinda inaugurated in December 2016, houses more than 35 wax statues of notable figures from a variety of areas, including politics, sports, independence fighters, social activism, and the Jaipur royal family. Celebrities from Mahatma Gandhi to Amitabh Bachchan and from Sachin Tendulkar to Deepika Padukone are included in this.
A one-of-its-kind section of this museum is Sheesh Mahal or the Palace of Mirrors created using more than 2.5 million pieces of glass in different colors such as blue, green, yellow, and red. This hall brings alive the opulence of the Rajputana era in a unique manner. The interiors of Sheesh Mahal feature floral motifs, ornate chandeliers, and handmade paintings.
