01° DAY: Arrival – DELHI
Departure from Italy with flight to Delhi. Upon your arrival in Delhi a representative of our office will welcome you and accompany you to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.
02° DAY: DELHI – MANDAWA (265 km. 6 hours approximately)
After breakfast at the hotel, start of the visits of Old Delhi (Shahajahanabad), the Red Fort, the Friday Mosque “Jama Masjid” with an exciting ride on the pedal rickshaw in the narrow and crowded streets of Old Delhi. Around midday transfer to Mandawa through the Shekawati area. Overnight stay at the hotel.
03° DAY: MANDAWA – BIKANER (190 km. 4 hours approximately)
Breakfast and visit of the town famous for the ancient Haweli painted in the style of the Shekawati area. Departure for Bikaner. Arrival and overnight stay at the hotel.
04° DAY: BIKANER – JAISALMER (330 km. Approximately 7 hours)
Breakfast and visit to the Junagarh Fort and its museum. Then departure for Jaisalmer, crossing almost the entire Tar desert, on the western border with Pakistan. Jaisalmer represents, in our opinion, the most exotic destination, from “one thousand and one nights”, of the entire trip. Stop to visit Lake Gadi Sagar. Arrival and overnight stay at the hotel.
05° DAY: JAISALMER
After breakfast, visit to the fortified citadel and its palaces. Particular attention will be paid to its numerous temples and Haveli such as Nathmal Ji Ki Haveli, Salim Singh Ki Haveli and Patwon-Ji-Ki-Haveli. In the afternoon excursion to admire the sunset on the dunes of the Thar desert on the back of a camel guided by the Bedouins of the area wrapped in their fascinating cloaks. Overnight stay at the hotel.
06° DAY: JAISALMER – JODHPUR (285 km. 6 hours approx.)
Breakfast at the hotel and departure for Jodhpur. Located south of Jaisalmer, the “Blue City” is a bizarre town of colored, white, blue houses, whose history dates back to the mid-15th century. Arrival in Jodhpur and visit the imposing and wonderful Mehrangarh Fort, overnight stay at the hotel.
07° DAY: JODHPUR – RANAKPUR – UDAIPUR (275 km. 7 hours approx.)
After breakfast departure for Udaipur, the “White City”, the most romantic city in Rajasthan. Stop to visit the Jain temples in Ranakpur, truly a masterpiece of marble inlay by the artisans of the time. Overnight stay in Udaipur.
08° DAY : UDAIPUR
Breakfast at the hotel and visit of the “White City” or “of the dawn” with the City-Palace (still the residence of the Maharajah) and its museum, the Sahelion Ki Bari which at the time was the garden of the Harem. In the afternoon, boat excursion on Lake Pichola to visit the Jag Mandir temple. Overnight stay at the hotel.
09° DAY : UDAIPUR – CHITTORGARH – PUSHKAR (301 km. 6 hours approximately)
After breakfast, departure for Pushkar, a famous town in Rajasthan, known above all for its “camel fair”, which is held during the full moon of October/November. Stop to visit Chittorgarh: a fortified city witness to one of the most glorious periods of the Rajasthani chivalric history and the courage of the “Widows of Chittorgarh”, continuation to Pushkar. Arrival and overnight stay at the hotel.
10° DAY: PUSHKAR – JAIPUR (145 km. Approximately 3 hours)
Breakfast at the hotel and visit to the holy city that houses the only temple dedicated to God Brahma in all of India. Afterwards, transfer to Jaipur, the “Pink City”. Arrival in Jaipur, overnight stay at the hotel
11° DAY: JAIPUR
Breakfast at the hotel and immediately visit to the Amber Fort, 11 km from Jaipur, an imposing fortress of the Rajput civilization. To overcome the last stretch of the climb to the fort, you ride on the back of placid elephants almost to recall the ancient deeds of the Maharajahs. Inside the walls you can visit palaces and pavilions of refined beauty and the small but precious temple of the Goddess Kali. In the afternoon visit the city, capital of Rajasthan, the “pink city”, among the most beautiful and picturesque in India. Visit to the famous and depicted in all postcards Hawa Mahal or the palace of the winds and the palace of the Maharaja (City Palace), largely converted into a museum and the Astronomical Observatory (Jantar Mantar). Overnight stay.
12° DAY: JAIPUR – FATEHPUR SIKRI – AGRA (235 km. 5.30 hours approximately)
After breakfast transfer to Agra, stopping in Fatehpur Sikri to visit the deserted capital of the XVI century, abandoned after only 14 years of its construction, with beautiful red sandstone buildings. Arrival in Agra and accommodation in the hotel, afternoon is dedicated to the visit of Taj Mahal, Taj Mahal, named the first wonder of the world, reachable by carriage, called “Tonga”. Overnight stay in the hotel.
13° DAY: AGRA – DELHI (230 km. 5 hours approximately)
After breakfast in the morning visit the Agra Fort, ancient imperial residence of the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. Around midday departure for Delhi, along the way stop to visit the Tomb of Akbar in Sikandra. Arrival in Delhi and transfer to the international airport for departure with return flight to Italy.
