A multitude of historical and touristic attractions meet at the Siliserh Lake in Alwar, which is a highly intriguing body of water. This picturesque lake of Siliserh, which spans a length of more than seven kilometres, was created in 1845 and has long been renowned for its engineering prowess as it continues to serve as a major source of water for nearby communities in Alwar. This lovely lake was intended to be accountable for the entire water reserve in Alwar City. It was built under the kind and benevolent patronage of His Majesty Maharaja Vinay Khan in an effort to solve the water supply problems in Alwar State. It also functioned as a lakefront getaway for people like royalty, and a magnificent palatial building in flawless white still exists on the lake as a silent tribute to the illustrious past, albeit in small ruins. A heritage luxury hotel is being created by attempting to return this opulent masterpiece to its illustrious history.
The Siliserh Lake serves as a picnic area for locals occasionally, and the green pastures on its edge complement the Neemrana Fort Palace on one side. It also serves as a gateway to Sariska National Park, a wildlife sanctuary hidden away in the lush vegetation nourished by the majestic Aravalli range in the background, providing for interesting views. In the present day and age the city of Alwar is no longer dependent exclusively on the lake to resolve it water supply issues and hence the waterfront also adds some entertainment value to attract tourists and locals. The boating facilities are available on the waterfront, with many boats playing their trade in different sizes and shapes.
