Achalgarh Fort is a historic fortress located in the Aravalli Range in Rajasthan, India. It was built by Maharana Kumbha, a ruler of the Mewar dynasty, in the 15th century. The fort stands atop a hill near Mount Abu and was originally constructed to serve as a strategic defense outpost.

One of the prominent features of Achalgarh Fort is the Achaleshwar Mahadev Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple houses a Nandi (bull), made of five metals, and a toe impression said to belong to Lord Shiva himself.

Within the fort complex, there’s also a Jain temple called Kantinath Temple, which is believed to have been constructed in the 15th century. It is renowned for its intricate carvings and Jain architecture, attracting visitors interested in its historical and religious significance.
